The 41st Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota promises drama, excitement and passion.
Team Europe have been dominant since 2010 but the Americans want revenge and in their own backyard they feel they have the best chance.
Here, Sportsmail's golf correspondent Derek Lawrenson assesses both Team Europe and Team USA.
TEAM EUROPE
Justin Rose
(Eng) Age: 36. WR: 11.
Ryder Cup record: Won 2 (2012-14) Lost 1 (2008). Matches: Fourballs 3-2-0; Foursomes 4-1-1; Singles 2-0-1.
Season highlight: Don’t have to look very far for this one. The only man in the history of the game with not only a major but that so special Olympic gold medal.
Verdict: A player who seems to hole a few more putts and grow a couple of inches at the Ryder Cup. How Europe need him at his best.
Ryder Cup rating: 9
