Hole 12 – Par 4 – 464 yards

The 12th hole is yet another that showcases the drastic contours of Erin Hills.

The tee shot, towards a narrow left-to-right 90° fairway, must reach the plateau to afford the player a reasonable approach to the green, set in a hollow.

With a rare wind from the east or for the long players, the tee shot that flirts with the right side can go down the hill and leave just a pitch if hit perfectly.

On the approach, anything long will see the ball run off the back of the green, but it should make for a simple pitch back up towards the pin. One small bunker guards the right hand edge of the narrow putting surface so sand, for once, should not be an issue at this hole.
