A guide to the thirteenth hole at Erin Hills ahead of the 2017 US Open

Erin Hills Hole By Hole Guide: Hole 13
Hole 13 – Par 3 – 215 yards
The 13th is a rendition of the classic hill-to-hill par 3.
The green is positioned about 20 yards below the players off the tee, increasing the yardage of the hole slightly.
Standing over the ball, the player’s eyes are drawn immediately to the expansive bunker left of the green, to which a swale in the left side of the green directs balls.
However, with the winds more than capable of picking up, the fall-away short, right and behind the green cannot be ignored or looked at as safe places to miss the green in the case of a bale out.
