Given his high standards, 2018 was a year to forget for Japanese professional Hideki Matsuyama. He started the year fifth in the world and yet failure to get into the winners circle has seen him rise to his current ranking of 28th.

Regardless, a player of his skill is sure to bounce back but what clubs does the 26-year-old play? We have taken a look.

The five-time PGA Tour winner used to have the Ping G400 Tour 65 driver in the bag however he has just been seen using the new Callaway Epic Flash driver at the Sony Open.

The Japanese player also has the TaylorMade M4 3 wood in the bag.

His mix and match bag continues with the Honma TW727 hybrid and a TaylorMade M3 3 iron.

His irons are Srixon Z945 blades and he uses a mixture of Cleveland RTX 3 and Callaway Mack Daddy Forged wedges.

His putter situation appears to be shifting regularly after he was pictured at the Sony Open using a Scotty Cameron prototype one day (pictured below), and then shifted back to his usual Scotty Cameron Circle T GSS putter the next. Time will tell what flagstick he puts into the bag for the long term.

His ball is the Srixon Z Star XV.
