How Social Media Reacted To The Tiger Vs Mickelson Announcement
Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson announced their winner-takes-all match on social media Wednesday night and, as expected, it sent Twitter wild.
The whole concept of the match has divided the golfing world over the past few months since it was first suggested, with one side loving the idea and the other side not so much.

Me finding out Tiger Woods is playing Phil Mickelson in a head-to-head match-up for $9 million in Las Vegas.
Me finding out said match-up will be on pay-per-view, not free TV. pic.twitter.com/YSV09KpDqf

When word started spreading about a potential #TigerVSPhil for a massive purse, I was stoked. Until they announced PPV. #NoThanks. There are other ways to make money…PPV in today’s age isn’t necessary.

I’m probably the only one who couldn’t care less about #TigerVSPhil . Should be their own money and could easily be an anticlimactic blowout.

Completely with you on this! 10 one million dollar matches between 20 struggling mini tour players would be must see television however Tiger vs Phil? Not so much for me.

One of the two richest golfers who’ve ever lived stands to get $9m richer. It’s a hard narrative to love #TigerVSPhil

This #TigerVSPhil is an amazing step for the sport of golf. Smart for all parties to take advantage of this before these two ride off into the sunset…

Can't wait to watch two washed up old guys compete in the highest rated golf show, while people like Koepka are out here with no one knowing their name. #TigerVSPhil

$9 million plus PPV revenue and they can't even put a right handed driver in Tigers hands? Yikes… #TigerVSPhil pic.twitter.com/mJlfkANvtz
