We look at the clubs Rafa Cabrera Bello will use this 2019 season.
Rafa Cabrera Bello What’s In The Bag?
It may have been over a year since Rafael Cabrera-Bello got into the winners circle, and he may have narrowly missed out on the 2018 Ryder Cup side, but the Spaniard is still remarkably consistent as he still remains in the top-30 in the world golf rankings.
A regular feature in the top-10 of most tournaments, Rafa’s best results last year were two tied-third places. One came at the WGC-Mexico Championship and the other was at The CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges. But what does he put into his bag week in week out? We take a look below.
He has a full bag of Titleist clubs starting with his Titleist TS3 driver which he sets up with 8.5 degrees of loft.
Next he uses two 915f fairways woods with 15 and 18 degrees. Additionally he occasionally carries a 818H2 hybrid with 17 degrees of loft but this inclusion is entirely dependent on the course he is playing.
His irons are 718 MB blades that go from the 3-iron to the pitching wedge.
He carries three Titleist Vokey SM7 wedges with 46, 54, and 60 degrees of loft. Interestingly, he seems to have two holes drilled into the back and he regularly has lead tape added to the back of his wedges to add weight.
Finally Rafa did carry a Scotty Cameron Concept X putter briefly put he has gone back to his Newport 2 version although it appears to be some sort of prototype as well.
He also uses the Pro V1x golf ball.
