Scotty Cameron Special Select Fastback 1.5
The perfect putter blends technology with craftsmanship and beauty. Scotty Cameron has struck this ideal balance for many years and the new Special Select range is another classic example of putter perfection.
Inspired by Scotty’s most popular shapes amongst tour players, they each feature sleeker putter head profiles with thinner and flatter toplines, refined neck configurations, soft tri-soles and performance balanced weighting.
There are a range of shapes within it, including the iconic, timeless Newports and larger Del Mar, Fastback, Squareback and Flowbacks that offer a little more alignment assistance.

These putters look stunning from every angle. At address they sit perfectly square and flush to the ground while the hand-painted cherry rings on the back cavity add a touch of class. The finish is premium, thanks to a unique bead blast process, which also helps reduce glare from the sun.
From a feel perspective, these putters are way ahead of the competition. Soft off the face with a gentle ‘pop’ sound, these putters truly stir the senses. We also like how the sole weights are adjustable, allowing golfers to tweak the feel to match their stroke tempo. The new Pistolini Plus grip, which is slightly more built up under the lower hand, helps to control the clubface.

In terms of performance, we found our Del Mar to be especially consistent from mid and long range while the long black sightline helped is hole out from short range with regularity. Getting the right model and length is key, but once you do that the putters just seem to flow smoothly and square up naturally.
Scotty Cameron putters are collectors items simply down to the level of detail and craftsmanship that goes into every one, designed by a man who knows more about putter design than anyone else. Yes you pay a premium to own one, but the prestige and performance that comes with it is well worth the investment.
