Players like Patrick Reed, Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas all got into the clubhouse with good scores that put them in contention to push on the rest of the week.

Even defending champion Dustin Johnson, who shot an opening 74, is not out of it given Augusta’s teeth.

A couple of players who might struggle to bring it back are Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy who shot a pair of 76’s.

The Friday coverage will be split between NBC’s Golf Channel and ESPN before CBS coming in over the weekend.

NBC’s Golf Channel will televise the majority of the golf with ESPN covering the latter stages of Friday. CBS will televise the crucial moments over the weekend just as the tournament starts heating up.
