European Junior Solheim Cup Team to Showcase PING 2017 Apparel Collection
PING announced today that it will continue as the official apparel supplier to the 2017 European PING Junior Solheim Cup Team.
The team will wear key designs from the new ladies collection that have been designed exclusively with the lady golfer in mind.

Titleist Extends Junior Support as Official Golf Ball Partner to the Golf Foundation
Titleist, the #1 Ball in Golf, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the game at all levels by continuing its link with the Golf Foundation as ‘Official Golf Ball Partner’.
As a long-term supporter of the charity, which encourages youngsters from all backgrounds to take-up golf and stay in the game, Titleist will provide golf balls to be used in major promotional and fundraising activities, as well as during development programmes at golf clubs, driving ranges, community projects and schools across the country.

The 18th on the Old Course at St Andrews wins Scotland’s best hole award
The 18th at St Andrews’ Old Course has been voted the best hole in Scotland in a poll of 3,000 golfers.

The iconic hole also won the award for the best closing hole in Scotland, whilst St Andrews’ 17th, the Road Hole, was also named the best par four in the poll undertaken by Visit Scotland.
Justin Rose to make Irish Open return
The 2013 US Open champion, Justin Rose, will make his first Irish Open appearance in seven years when he competes at Portstewart in July.

Rose will join a field that includes defending champion Rory McIlroy and with the Englishman competing in the Scottish Open the week before, it will be good practice going into the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
Golf Foundation thanks BGIA members for £10,000 support for young golfers
The Golf Foundation has thanked members of the British Golf Industry Association (BGIA) for a pledged donation of £10,000, raised during the BGIA’s recent annual golf day, held at Woburn Golf Club.

The donation from the BGIA supports the fundraising requirement of the Golf Foundation as it helps the golf development bodies of England, Scotland and Wales to grow the game. The charity will invest the funds in its HSBC Golf Roots programme which reaches boys and girls from all backgrounds through golf in schools, communities and golf clubs, encouraging them to enjoy the playing and personal benefits of golf.
Golf stars “tea up” at Great Wall of China
Six of the biggest golfing names competing in this week’s Volvo China Open made sure of their “tea time” during a special visit to the Great Wall of China earlier this week.
Defending champion Li Hao-tong and fellow Chinese stars Wu Ashun and Zhang Lianwei joined England’s Chris Wood and Danish duo Thorbjorn Olesen and Europe’s 2018 Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjorn for the traditional Chinese tea ceremony on a watchtower of the nation’s most recognisable landmark. Flanked by armed ceremonial guards, the six star players were given a special introduction to the art of tea making during the countdown to the 23rd Volvo China Open.
Motocaddy supports the PGA EuroPro Tour for 12th consecutive season
Motocaddy has been announced as the ‘Official Electric Trolley’ of the PGA EuroPro Tour for the twelfth consecutive season.

The announcement came ahead of the opening event of the 2017 season at Close House in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne next week, the venue of this year’s British Masters on the European Tour. A new indoor golf centre in the City of London has proved such a huge hit with keen golfers that a second site is planned to open in the capital later this year.

Pitch Golf Studio in Bishopsgate uses sophisticated technology to analyse swings and match golfers to clubs and balls they need to improve their game. Boasting three bespoke designed simulators and a widescreen VIP suite equipped with the latest launch monitors from Foresight Sports, seven PGA registered coaches offer lessons and custom fitting sessions five days a week.
Parley GC’s new course sees first ace
The first ever hole-in-one on Parley Golf Centre’s new course has been sunk – by club secretary Simon Hentrich.

It’s his first hole-in-one in more than 40 years playing the game and he ‘jumped up and down and shouted’ as it dropped. The course is part of the Dorset centre’s £250,000 investment programme which also includes a major new short game practice area, indoor coaching facilities and academy holes.

Las Colinas Golf & Country Club in Alicante, Spain has installed Trackman 3e technology, offering visiting golfers the chance to benefit from the same performance analysis used by the very best on the PGA and European Tours.
Trackman provides scientifically-accurate figures through data, video and overlay graphics, which golfers at the resort will be able to use in lessons and when honing their games.
