Long Drive World Series coming to Windsor
The world’s longest drivers will come together on July 8th at The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club in Windsor to battle it out in the Long Drive World Series.

Tickets are free and spectators can expect to see some huge names including the current and two-time World Long Drive Champion Joe Miller and the American Golf Long Drive Champion Lucas Dornan.
This will be the second event of the Long Drive World Series after round one in Dubai, where American Tim Burke won with a drive of 335 yards…into a 30mph head wind!
GolfSixes inspire the next generation
14 European Tour players encouraged boys and girls in a special junior GolfSixes event organised by the Golf Foundation at the Centurion Club.

Players from Denmark, Australia, Portugal, Netherlands, Spain, India and Wales gave up their time to support local children as they sampled the new six-hole team game, which is now to be piloted in ‘GolfSixes Academy’ events in 32 golf clubs around England over the summer.
The likes of Thorbjørn Olesen, Lucas Bjerregaard, Joost Luiten, Scott Hend and Pablo Larrazabal demonstrated their shot-making, gave the boys and girls golf tips and encouragement and signed shirts, caps and golf balls as mementoes of the day.

Featuring a number of modes, the brand’s first-ever mobile phone app can be used as a stand-alone mobile GPS device.

It can also be synced with the world’s first GPS electric trolley – Motocaddy’s S5 CONNECT – launched this summer with smartphone notifications and a USB charging point.
“A lot of work has gone into developing our first GPS app and we’re absolutely thrilled with the response and the positive comments we’ve received about it,” said Tony Webb, Motocaddy Managing Director. “It is great to see so many golfers downloading the app and making use of the extensive features on offer,” he added.
World’s oldest course set to undergo £10m revamp
A £10million plan has been unveiled to breathe fresh life into a six-time Open Championship venue and the oldest continuously-played golf course in the world, Musselburgh Links.

The aim is to recapture the long-lost ‘heritage’ to take it back to its Victorian-era (circa 1896) set up, when its importance and significance to the game of golf was at its peak.

The £10m will be spent over seven years with a plan to create 40 new jobs in the process.
