The Top US Masters Favourites
Dustin Johnson (11/2)
The World Number One is without doubt the clear favourite to win the first Major of 2017. Going into the Shell Houston Open a week before the US Masters he had won his last three events. And even more incredible is that out of seven 2017 season tournaments he has finished top 6 in 6 of them. Finished T4th last season at the US Masters and T6th in 2015 – it is his to lose.

Jordan Speith (13/2)
The 2015 champion is someone we should be describing as two-time champion, had it not been for his dramatic collapse on the 12th in the final round in 2016. There is one very important stat to mention with Jordan Spieth he has played at the US Masters on three occasions and his worst finish is T2nd. Spieth appears to not be fancied by many this season, but with a win already this season and three other top 10s he is certainly in good enough form to make a challenge again this year.
Rory McIlroy (7/1)
Will Rory McIlroy ever win the US Masters? Well this year may be one of his better chances, as the spotlight is not on him. Having suffered from an injury early on in the year he has only competed in four tournaments. The key facts for Rory are that from the three strokeplay events he has played in in 2017 he has finished no worse than 7th. His Masters record is also excellent with three top 10s in the last three events. He should have won the 2011 event when he was the clear 54-hole leader, but now with every Major other than the Masters already won

Jason Day (16/1)
The Australian has not had an easy season, with a few injuries and a heart-breaking withdrawal from the WGC Matchplay due to his sick mother. Day has not confirmed if he will be teeing it up or not at Augusta this season, but if he does he should be taken seriously. Has had three Top 10 finishes in the event already and with his Major win in at the 2015 US PGA Championship he now has the belief he can win every time he tees it up.
Hideki Matsuyama (16/1)
If the Masters had come a month earlier Matsuyama’s odds would have been much shorter than they are. Since he won the Waste Management Phoenix Open at the start of Feb he has only had a best finish of 25th. The win in Phoenix was his 5th title in four months, but due to cooling off his odds have gone north… and this could mean you get great value. Matsuyama has a very impressive record at Augusta, he was the US Masters Low Amateur in 2011m where he finished T27th overall, he is also top 10 there the last two seasons, writing him off could be poor play.
