Adidas has launched a golf-specific version of one its most popular shoe designs, the Samba, which was originally created to enable footballers to train in firm and icy conditions.
The limited-edition Samba golf shoe is being offered in four colours – blue, pink, yellow, and white – and will also feature a sockliner with a graphic blending these same colours.
Made with high-performance recycled materials, the Samba shoe’s water-resistant upper features a soft microsuede material for additional durability.
The is also extra EVA cushioning in the midsole to provide golfers with more support and comfort where it is needed most. A spikeless outsole enables the shoes to be worn on and off the golf course and mimics the iconic Samba design by featuring suction cups in the forefoot, which now incorporate golf-specific traction nubs.
“As summer closes and we turn towards autumn, we wanted to inspire golfers to stay energised on the course,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, adidas Golf. “The Samba, named after the iconic Brazilian dance, and one of the brand’s oldest footwear franchises, was a perfect model of choice. The bright colours are fun and allow people to showcase their personality as well.”
The new Limited-Edition Samba Golf are priced at £85 and will be available for men and women on adidas.com, on the adidas app, and at select pro shops and retailers from September 15.
