Golfers urged to show their support for Ukraine through UNICEF appeal


Golfers can show their support for the people of Ukraine, and specifically the children directly affected by the war with Russia, by supporting an appeal to raise funds for UNICEF and its work supporting the people of Ukraine.
Leading golf bodies including the R&A, the PGA, the Ladies European Tour, the DP World Tour and many other associations and governing bodies are promoting the hashtag #GOLFERSFORUKRAINE and the website golfersforukraine.com, where donations to support UNICEF. The current total, as of March 9, stands at over $310,000
A statement from The R&A said: “We are truly saddened by what is happening in Ukraine and, like many others, want to help. We are working with other leading golf bodies to offer support by donating to UNICEF’s work in Ukraine. Together we can make a significant difference and support UNICEF to deliver urgently needed materials such as health supplies, water and sanitation supplies, winter clothes for children, recreational kits and early childhood development kits to help with psychosocial support.”
