La Reserva Club in Sotogrande has expanded its leisure facilities following the opening of ‘The Beach’, which includes Europe’s first full sandy-bottom, fresh water swimming pool, plus a beach club and restaurant, and a 17,000-square metre water sports lagoon.
The pool at the upmarket Spanish resort is surrounded by loungers and set among shady palm trees, while the waiter-service beachfront restaurant serves wide range of high quality food with a focus on Andalusian flavours.
The Beach was designed for families to enjoy, but adults are also well catered for, with an adults-only lap pool, plus spa treatments and yoga classes. The tennis centre offers a wide range of racket sports, while the man-made lagoon hosts a variety of water sports.
The lagoon itself is surrounded by a landscaped park and walking paths that offer views of the fairways of La Reserva’s 18-hole championship golf course, and down to the sea.
Marc Topiol, Sotogrande SA’s CEO, said: “La Reserva Club, as the leisure component of La Reserva de Sotogrande’s gated community, offers a unique set of amenities and The Beach will act as a focal point for our residents, members and guests to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our vision was to bring the beach to the hills of Sotogrande and provide an environment where families can truly relax and create special memories in a secure and sophisticated setting. The Beach will be open to the public for all to come and enjoy this year, however, in the future, our residents will have exclusive access to these outstanding leisure facilities.”
