Golfers looking to spend less than £500 on a full set of brand new clubs and a golf bag should take a look at two new sets being offered by MacGregor Golf.
The brand has launched two new men’s package sets, one aimed at new golfers and the other aimed at more established players who want to play with clubs with proven technology at a more affordable price point.
The entry-level CG3000 Package Set comprises a 460cc titanium Ti-Matrix driver (13°); low-profile fairway wood and hybrid, 6-9 irons, pitching and sand wedges, and a mallet-style putter. Offered in right- and left-hand, golfers can choose between steel or graphite shafts in the irons, including +1 inch for taller golfers, and opt for a stand or a cart bag. It is also available in a half-set and a ladies option. The full set costs £369, while the half-set retails at £249.
The DCT3000 Package Set comes with a MacGregor branded golf bag in a cart or stand bag option. The set features a 460cc 10.5° titanium driver with high-MOI design for increased stability at impact and an expanded sweet spot for greater forgiveness on off-centre hits. Stainless steel high-MOI fairway wood and two hybrids clubs all benefit from extreme forgiveness and a low centre of gravity to help launch the ball more easily. Stainless steel irons from 5-SW feature an oversized head design and perimeter weighting for stability and forgiveness, while the mallet putter offers alignment and stability through the stroke. A choice of steel or graphite shafted irons and left hand options are available. SRP: £469 with a stand bag or £479 with a cart bag.
