Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley said: “We want to emphasise that our future plans are encumbent upon favourable counsel and direction from health officials. Provided that occurs and we can conduct the 2020 Masters, we intend to invite those professionals and amateurs who would have qualified for our original April date and welcome all existing ticket holders to enjoy the excitement of Masters week.”
The 2020 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin, is to remain in its original date of September 25-27, which means the first day’s matches will be held just five days after the conclusion of the rescheduled US Open.
