North Downs Golf Club up for auction


North Downs Golf Club in Surrey is to be sold at auction, with a guide price of £1.5m. 
The Caterham-based private members’ club, which boasts a 5,815-yard, 18-hole course, will be sold online at a live-streamed auction on July 9.The club, which was founded in 1899, was bought by property investment company Safeland PLC in November 2018 for more than £1 million.

John Mehtab of auctioneers Acuitus commented: ““This course enjoys a beautiful setting and the opportunity for a new owner to grow the golf club business.”

The auction will take place on July 9 at 2pm and will be broadcast online from Acuitus.co.uk. Interested buyers can submit bids by telephone, online or in writing ahead of the sale.
