Oxfordshire tour pro Eddie Pepperell has signed with sports management company IMG to represent his professional and commercial interests.
The talented 23-year-old from Abingdon finished 49th in the 2014 Race to Dubai money list, in a season which included a run of four top-five finishes in five events.
Having started his professional life on the Alps Tour in 2011, he quickly established himself as one of Europe’s brightest talents by winning the 2012 ALLIANZ Open Côtes d’Armor Bretagne on the Challenge Tour. He went on to claim his European Tour card by finishing 13th in the rankings and ended his rookie season 76th on the Race to Dubai, demonstrating his potential with a sixth place finish at The BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in 2013.
Commenting on signing for IMG, Pepperell (pictured right) said: “I am really looking forward to joining IMG and being a part of their impressive stable of golfers. I was pleased with the results of my 2014 season, but I am always looking for ways to improve, and I think IMG’s experience in the industry can help me achieve this and reach the next stage of my career.”
Guy Kinnings, Global Head of Golf, IMG, added: “Eddie is one of the brightest young English talents on the European Tour and has improved every year since turning professional. He has an appealing personality and a maturity beyond his years. We look forward to representing him as he continues to develop both on and off the course.”
Pepperell was one of three new player signings announced by IMG, with Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Renato Paratore being the other two.
