England’s Jess Baker produced an impressive display to claim the biggest title of her career and win the 119th Women’s Amateur Championship at Hunstanton. The 19-year-old from Newcastle shone in the sun over the Norfolk links to achieve a 4&3 success against Sweden’s Louise Rydqvist in the 36-hole final. The R&A has released its schedule of amateur championships and international matches in 2022, with some of the UK and Europe’s finest courses set to play host to the game’s leading amateur golfers. The 127th Amateur Championship will be played at Royal Lytham & St Annes (pictured above) and St Annes Old Links from 13-18 June, with a new 18-hole pre-qualifier preceding the championship on 10 June.
