Tickets go on sale for LIV Golf Invitational at Centurion

Tickets to the opening event of the LIV Golf Invitational Series, a new $25 million, 54-hole professional tournament which is being held at Centurion Club in Hertfordshire from June 9-11, have gone on sale, with fans being offered an unprecedented array of hospitality options to get closer to the action.

The new tournament is limited to just 48 players, who will be playing for individual honours, as well as in a team event. The prize fund is the largest ever played for at a professional golf tournament in the history of the game, with the winner set to walk away with a cool $4m, while the last-placed competitor in the no-cut event is set to earn $120,000.

The final field will be announced on May 27, but it is understood that at least 15 of the world’s top 100 players have signed up to take part, with 2021 US PGA champion Phil Mickelson being among the headline stars to enter the event, which will be played over 54 holes and three days, rather than the traditional 72 holes over four days.

There are several levels of hospitality packages on offer, including access to private lounges, premium catering options, exclusive player interviews, and behind-the-ropes access during the tournament

Ticket prices start from £67 for one-day ground passes, with a ticket for all three days costing £178. Beyond the basic course entry tickets, there are also various levels of hospitality packages which offer a range of exclusive extras.

The top-level package, Club 54 Premium, includes access to a private lounge and bar; front row seating by the 18th green and at the driving range; behind-the-ropes access during play, plus live interviews being recorded with players competing in the event and from legends of the game who will also be attendance. The package, which covers all three days of the tournament, costs £9,766 per person, while a two-day package costs £8,301.

The least expensive hospitality package, the Gallery Club, costs £246 per day and features a private lounge area offering ‘grab and go’ food and unlimited beer and wine, while the Fairway Club package, which is available for a minimum of two of the tournament days, costs £2,441, and includes grounds passes; a private lounge with all-inclusive, full-service food options; a premium cocktail bar, and live Q&A’s with LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman and tournament players.
