France’s most successful weightlifting Club Villeneuve-Loubet (near Nice) hosted the second International Tournament on 26 September 2009 in the memory of Monique Maurice, once an enthusiastic practicioner, official and humble servant of the sport in France.
The French Federation FFHMFAC invited weightlifters from both genders to compete in the Tournament that had 2 and half hours of nationwide live broadcasting.
