At its meeting held in Santo Domingo, on 28 September 2006, the IWF Executive Board selected the following hosts to organise future major events in the sport:
2009 Junior World Championships ? allocated to Constantza, Romania
2010 (Qualification) World Championships ? to be held in Antalya, Turkey
