The Congress of the Asian Weightlifting Federation was held on 2-3 February 2007 in Macau. Delegates of 39 countries attended the Congress. Sheik Sultan Bin Mejren from the United Arab Emirates has been elected as President of the AWF, and Mr. Ali Moradi re-elected as Secretary General.
Results achieved in 43 international events on the 2006 IWF Calendar, from Copenhagen to Caguas, produced the traditional Annual World Ranking Lists for Men and Women. The lists are now published on this website.
