A-list stars including Rihanna, the Kardashians and Tyga quit going court-side at the Los Angeles Lakers… with Neymar’s PSG the place to be seen
NEYMAR’S incredible £198million move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain during the summer sent shock-waves through the football world.
But aside from just taking his talent to the French capital, he’s also brought Hollywood’s best and brightest to Paris with him.
Historically, America’s A-List celebs would head down to Staples Center to take in a Los Angeles Lakers game.
Some of the most-easily recognisable faces on the planet would sit court-side to watch arguably the NBA‘s most famous team.
But now? Hollywood’s creme de la creme have opted to take a different tack… a very different tack.
Not only swapping basketball for football, they’re even trading the US for France as some of the most famous actors, singers and personalities on the planet are flocking to watch PSG.
And the reason? You could argue it’s simply a fun thing to do while in the wonderful city of Paris, popular with Americans particularly for their European jaunts.
But Paris is hardly anything new… what is new to the French capital is Neymar.
The football sensation, much like Cristiano Ronaldo, is more than just a footballer, he’s a brand, a celebrity, a personality known all around the globe from Los Angeles to Lahore.
Where Neymar goes, so do the cameras… with Paris Saint-Germain matches now becoming a genuine celebrity event.
Most recently, US rapper Tyga was seen attending PSG’s clash with Nantes at the weekend.
Sitting alongside Bulgarian beauty Barbara Palvin – the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Rookie of the Year – Tyga appeared to put his break-up with Kylie Jenner well behind him.
The Jenners – and fellow Kardashians – are others to have swapped LA for Paris.
In recent years they’ve all been snapped taking in the Lakers game, watching Kobe Bryant strut his stuff.

It’s almost too much to be just a coincidence, that since Kobe called it quits, a swarm of fans starting looking for their kicks elsewhere.
Kendall Jenner was seen wearing a PSG shirt at one game in recent months alongside Gigi Hadid – having also been sighted watching the Lakers with sister of Gigi, Bella.
On top of that, just last week, singing superstar Rihanna waved a Paris Saint-Germain flag while watching the Ligue 1 giants take on Marseille.
Former football star David Beckham also appeared to be turning towards the American way of life, regularly seen court-side in LA.
But he’s been back to his former stomping ground – the club where he ended his career, in fact – alongside his family to watch the Parisien giants.
Naomi Campbell and Lenny Kravitz were snapped together watching PSG vs Bayern Munich in the Champions League recently too.
One thing is for sure, while Neymar is on the books of PSG, expect to see many more surprising, famous faces at the Parc des Princes.
