Aaron Chalmers is a fake and fraud, says Geordie Shore star’s BAMMA opponent and secondary school teacher Alex Thompson

GEORDIE SHORE star Aaron Chalmers is nothing but a fake and fraud who doesn’t know the meaning of a hard day’s work, says his next opponent and secondary school teacher Alex Thompson.

Thompson, who juggles training with teaching three subjects, will make his pro debut against Chalmers at BAMMA London next Friday.

And he reckons Chalmers’ persona built up through the MTV show is a sham he will expose in the cage.

Thompson, 26, from Leeds, who does four-hour training sessions after a full day in the classroom, said: “My opinion of this whole Geordie Shore thing is that it’s a complete sham.

“They call it reality TV but there is no reality to it. Reality is what I live through every day.

“I work my a*** off and go and train. I don’t see him doing that. I see him going out and getting drunk and getting with women on TV.

“Kids see these things and to me that’s not good, he’s not a positive role model. People who are fighting on such a big stage should be positive role models, like me.

“I think it’s an act [with Aaron]. It’s the whole image of wanting to be a big, buff fighter and he probably thinks it complements the image he’s built up in Geordie Shore.

"But there’s no pretending when you get in that cage."

Chalmers - who is banning himself from sex with girlfriend Talia Oatway in preparation for the bout - took just two rounds to win his MMA debut back in May.

But Thompson says there is anger Chalmers was allowed a shot at the big time so quickly while others have to wait their turn.

And he will use that bubbling rage to end their scrap quickly at SSE Arena, Wembley.

He said: "It p***es me off that he’s got the time and the money to do whatever he wants.

Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers shows off his brutal workout regime ahead of Bamma 31

"I don’t see MMA as a hobby and I can see Aaron thinking it’s just a bit of fun.

"The fact he has got that big step up [from his name] a lot of people are p***ed off and angry about that.

"There are guys who have 15 fights as amateurs, turn pro but then are still not getting the opportunities Aaron has had.

"There is anger in a lot of people that he’s got where he is – but it gives me a lot more drive.

"I will take him down. The plan is to submit him or TKO him with elbows. I might just take it to the second round to show him he’s in a fight then finish him."
