Alexis Sanchez shakes off ankle problems as Arsenal star puts deadline day disappointment behind him in Chile training
ARSENAL talisman Alexis Sanchez has eased concerns over an ankle injury that he picked up while on international duty.
Despite limping out of the weekend session with an ice pack wrapped around his ankle, the Chilean has returned to training ahead of tonight’s World Cup qualifier.
Chile will travel to Estadio Hernando Siles to face Bolivia tonight in a bid to secure their spot in next year’s World Cup.
La Roja are fourth in South America’s qualifying table with three games remaining. Sanchez’s side are in the last automatic slot, but Argentina are hot on their tale.
Despite picking up a knock during a weekend training session with Juan Antonio Pizzi’s side, the Arsenal ace appears to be back in action.
Sanchez trained with his international team-mates this morning after recovering from the ankle injury which panicked Gunners fans.
Arsenal medics will be recalling the striker to be checked over ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
If Sanchez features, this will mark the Chilean’s first game back following his summer of transfer turmoil.
