Andy Murray reunites with former coach Ivan Lendl who guided him to Wimbledon, US Open and Olympics crowns

ANDY MURRAY admitted he was thrilled his old mentor Ivan Lendl has agreed to work with him again.
But Murray, 29, knows it will not be easy to go back to their Grand Slam glory days because that means finding a way to beat Novak Djokovic.

Confirming the band was back together less than a week after losing a Slam final to Djokovic for the second time this year, Murray said: “Obviously the goal is to try to win the major events and right now Novak holds all four.
“So to win the major events, you are more than likely going to have to get past him.
“That will be a big part of it but it’s about developing your game to a place where when you do come up against the best players you’re ready to do it.
“I think the most successful period of my career was while I was working with Ivan. I know what he can offer.
“I always loved working with Ivan. I hope he can bring that same experience and those same benefits that he did last time.”

While working with Lendl, Murray beat Djokovic on the way to London 2012 gold and in the finals of both the 2012 US Open and Wimbledon 2013.
The pair split in 2014 because the former world No 1 was unable to commit enough time to the Scot.
Lendl, 56, revealed: “I enjoyed working with Andy in the past.
“Andy and I have always stayed in contact so it should be fun to be part of his team again.”
