ANTHONY JOSHUA paid his tax bill with his first Dillian Whyte windfall… and dined out on the second.
The Watford star, 28, stopped his old amateur rival in a brutal 2015 battle that was, for many, his coming of age.
But his purse was gobbled up by the tax man, according to the man himself.
Last Saturday night Joshua got his teeth into another pay-off when he placed £25 on Whyte to beat Lucas Browne in the sixth round.
That bet bet came in for a tasty £650 return.
And WBA and IBF champ Joshua revealed to SunSport that he treated his team to a slap-up meal with the golden boy picking up half the tab.
AJ said: “My first Dillian Whyte winnings went to the taxman! That was a while ago.
“But my bet winnings – that was tax free! We went out for something to eat on the Sunday with that.
QUIDS IN AJ says he’d stick his last £20 him knocking out Kiwi rival in Cardiff… as punters rush to back the underdog
“We went to the gym, had a little sauna and a stretch and then a meal – and I paid half!”
Joshua’s newfound luck with the bookies should not be taken lightly.

In fact, he insists it is a sign that he is becoming even more dangerous as a fighter for Saturday’s unification fight with Joseph Parker.
The 20-0 Adonis has always looked the part, packed a punch and proven the strength of his chin.
But now he is swotting-up on the sweet science and is about to become the coolest nerd in the bloody business.
Explaining his method behind picking Whyte’s ferocious midway finish, AJ said: “There are two halves to a fight – there is the first six and second six.
“After round five against Klitschko I was shattered. After round five is a real tricky time for inexperienced fighters because they don’t have that ring generalship.
“They throw punches they don’t need to and so forth.
“Now I am watching more boxing I know how to gauge a fight. Look at Floyd Mayweather, he used to take off at round five or six.
“Sugar Ray Leonard used to throw lots of punches in the last 30 seconds of a round, that’s ring generalship.
“I watch it to learn these things.”
Josh has always insisted he wants to get fights over with as soon as possible, as no contract includes an overtime bonus.

But, for the battle with 26-year-old WBO king Parker, AJ fancies another trip into the trenches where he can prove he has the brain to match the brawn.
The Brit hero said: “As much as I want to be known as a puncher, no heavyweight champion is ONLY known for having a right hand.
“You talk about their skill and movement, even though Mike Tyson had a devastating knockout, people talk about his boxing IQ.
“When I say I want to go to the later rounds it’s because I want to base my win on performance rather than just waiting to land a big right hand.”
