Anthony Martial trains on the beach as he puts Euro 2016 disappointment behind him

MANCHESTER United striker Anthony Martial may be on holiday, but he is keeping fit ahead of the new Premier League season.

The 20-year-old French striker shared a beach workout video in the Caribbean on Instagram, titling it “training in paradise”.

Martial is seen jogging shirtless with his cousin, while in another scene he is on his back performing some crunches.

The exercise should take away some of the pain of a disappointing summer for Martial in which he played a bit-part role in France’s eventual elimination from the European Championships.

The pacy frontman was left on the bench for the 1-0 defeat to Portugal in the final, and boss Didier Deschamps only brought him on after Eder had put Fernando Santos’ outfit into an extra-time lead.

It led to Deschamps receiving fierce criticism on social media, also slated for replacing Dimitri Payet for Kingsley Coman in the 57th minute.

Martial will be hoping to win over new boss Jose Mourinho as he battles for a slot in United’s front line.

The former Chelsea boss has snapped up the enigmatic Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and with Marcus Rashford continuing to be talked-up and the intention to play Wayne Rooney as a striker, Martial faces plenty of competition for a place in the starting XI.

The youngster bagged 17 goals in 49 appearances for the Red Devils last season.
