ASMIR BEGOVIC revealed how new boss Antonio Conte has got Chelsea players dreaming of their ice baths during gruelling double training sessions.
The new Chelsea boss has put his players through their paces since Wednesday and they certainly looked on the leggy side as they crashed 2-0 to SK Rapid in Vienna.

Asked what it is like working for Conte, Begovic said: “An ice bath always comes good at the end of the day. We know it’s going to benefit us in the long run.
“It’s been great so far. We’re buying into what the manager wants us to do, we’re working hard to try and improve and work in a different way. It’s going to take a bit of time, it’s a process, but so far so good and over time we’ll get better.

“Training is just different. We’re trying to be very disciplined. The work ethic is really strong. A few things have changed. It’s just something we’re trying to buy into and it’s going to take a little bit of time.”
Begovic has relished the double sessions even if his body feels the effects afterwards.

He said: “It’s a part of pre-season. We expect to work hard and we were working really hard. It’s part of the process.
“I’m sure we’ve got another few hard days ahead – we’ve got to get our base fitness and it’s something that will do us good in the long run.”

N’Golo Kante completed his £29million switch from Leicester yesterday and Begovic reckons he is going to be a huge playr for Chelsea.

He said: “He is a big player, a huge player for a Leicester last season and he had a good impact for France at the Euros as well. It’s a player we’re looking forward to adding to the team.
“We needed more options. You can never have too deep of a squad so the more options you have, the better. Kante adds a lot to our team and will make us better going forward.”
