Last year’s winner Rafael Nadal is heavy favourite as the sport’s biggest names sit out Roland Garros.

Is Andy Murray playing at the French Open?

Andy Murray is NOT playing at the French Open.

The Scot has been sidelined since picking up a hip injury during his Wimbledon quarter-final defeat to Sam Querrey last year.

He underwent surgery in January and is expected to return for the grass court season, starting with the Libema Open in the Netherlands.

Is Novak Djokovic playing at the French Open?

Novak Djokovic has returned from an elbow injury and is playing at Roland Garros.

Despite being outside the top 20 of the world rankings, the Serb says he is fit and raring to go and is seeded at No20.

He told reporters: “Looking back two or three months, this is the best that I’ve felt on the court, by far.”

Is Roger Federer playing at the French Open?

Roger Federer will not feature at the French Open.

The Wimbledon legend and one-time winner in Paris has skipped Roland Garros every year since 2015 as he looks to prolong his career at the peak of the sport.

He made the decision in March after losing to Thanasi Kokkinakis at the Miami Open.
