The Argentina midfielder failed to report for the start of his club’s pre-season training camp on Monday as he hopes to engineer a move to Italy following the tragic Ataturk atrocity in Istanbul.

And he penned a letter to the hardcore Turkish supporters claiming his insistence on quitting the club comes down to his family fearing for their safety.
The former Atletico Madrid man said: “I want to inform you on what is my situation.
“I asked to leave Besiktas. I did it because of personal problems with my family.
“My wife is afraid to live in Istanbul, Turkey, and I'm afraid for my children.

“The last airport attack touched us closely because my friends arrived just two hours later.
“After what happened, I and my family decided to leave Istanbul.
“I have two girls, they are a miracle, and we want to protect them.
“My priority is the family, football comes next. With Besiktas I'm not talking about contract renewal or negotiating, we are seeking a solution that will go well for all.
“I have already spoken with the leaders of the club and I asked him to help me solve the situation because I cannot and will not play football away from my family.
“I feel only gratitude for Besiktas, for what he has done for me and my family.
“We spent two great years together but, through no problems, from you I must go.”

The former Bayern Munich man moved to Turkey in August 2014 on loan from Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv and made the switch permanent in October that year.
Last season the 2008 Olympic gold medal winner won the Super Lig with his side, playing 31 top-flight games and scoring seven goals.
However, he now claims the terrorist attack in June 28 at the Ataturk airport in Istanbul, that left 45 people dead and 230 injured, has left his family in fear.
The San Siro is his dream destination but Besiktas want £7million for their man while Milan know about the player’s desperate need to move and are only offering £3.5m.
