Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger bans BBC camera from Gunners’ dressing room for FA Cup fifth round tie with Sutton United

ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger has banned the BBC from placing a fixed camera in their dressing room for their FA Cup fifth round tie with Sutton United.

French chief Wenger, 67, denied the broadcaster’s request to have the discreet, unmanned device in their area for the clash with the National League minnows at Gander Green Lane on Monday February 20.

"The players probably don't even notice that it is there and if they do it will not affect them."

Other managers in the Football League have seen no problem with the BBC's all-access approach.

Earlier this week, Derby County boss Steve McClaren allowed the Beeb a look at his half-time team talk during the thrilling clash with Leicester City in the fourth round replay.

However, others do side with Wenger on the issue, with Fulham also denying the broadcasters access to their private moments in the game against fellow Londoners Tottenham.

The west London outfit also barred the BBC from catching a glimpse of their half-time routine for the third round 3-1 win over Cardiff City.
