ARSENE WENGER could be interested in becoming England manager, according to a former assistant.
The Arsenal boss was linked with the job following Roy Hodgson’s resignation after Euro 2016.
Sam Allardyce eventually took over before seeing his England reign end in shame after just 67 days.
And reports claim the FA are now looking to talk with ex-Schalke gaffer Ralf Rangnick about the role.
But former Monaco No.2 Jean Petit reckons Wenger could be the man to lead the Three Lions to World Cup glory in 2018.
The long-serving Gunners chief is out of contract at the end of the season, but Petit adds Wenger would also fancy leading the likes of France and Germany too.
