Arsenal fans celebrate as Liverpool down Manchester City to end unbeaten run
ARSENAL fans reeling from their defeat at Bournmouth were handed a silver lining as Liverpool ended Manchester City’s unbeaten run.
The rampant Reds held on despite a late fightback to ensure Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles remain the only team to go a season undefeated for another year at least.
Trailing 4-1 with time running out, City struck twice to set up a tense finish.
And Sergio Aguero headed into the side netting to almost complete a remarkable comeback, although the Argie striker was flagged offside.
The fact Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain played a huge role with a goal and assists was not lost on the gleeful Gunners.
While some criticised Wenger for letting the England international go, others jokingly quipped that the Frenchman had planned for this all along.
