OLIVIER GIROUD’S late goal on Saturday at Old Trafford made him the biggest scorer for Arsenal in the Premier League era as a sub.
The Frenchman has now overtaken Kanu and Nicklas Bendtner with ten goals after coming on as a sub for the Gunners — and has set the benchmark for the club.

Giroud has had to endure much of his time at the Emirates as a bit-part player – but when he comes on, he does tend to score.
On Saturday, he rose highest to head in a last gasp equaliser against Manchester United, who dominated proceedings for the entire match.
He entered proceedings in the 73rd minute with the Gunners is desperate need of a goal and duly delivered – something he has been making a habit of doing since he arrived in 2012.

It was the his 10th goal as a substitute, beating Kanu and Niklas Bendtner – while the likes of Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp have only seven and six respectively, perhaps as they started more games.

But the France international still has a long way to go if he is to top the list of the league's top substitute marksmen.
A good 15 players have bagged more from the bench, with Sunderland's prolific marksman Jermain Defoe leading the way with 23 to his name.
Kanu sits just behind the 34-year-old having fired a further eight goals from the bench in the top flight during spells with Portsmouth and West Brom - as well as the Gunners.
He is joined by famous super-sub Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who also has 17., while Michael Owen, Didier Drogba and Javier Hernandez are among make up the top of the list.
