And Ashley Cole will be hoping to unearth more fine talents as he studies to become a football scout.
The ex-Chelsea star is still an LA Galaxy player but appears to already be planning for a backroom role once he hangs up his boots.
Cole posted a telling picture on Instagram showing a number of Chelsea-branded writing pads bursting with notes.
And fans were able to put two and two together with the following message: “Hotel life = home work studying the game from different aspects.”
Whether it means Cole will be returning to Stamford Bridge as a scout remains to be seen.
But he’s not the only Blues icon gearing up for a role under Antonio Conte, with John Terry studying for his coaching badges.
