ROGER FEDERER vs Spider-Man and Milos Raonic vs Thor? Just another day in Australia…
Some of tennis’ top stars have been warming-up for their Australian Open campaign, taking part in “Kids Day” in Melbourne alongside some of the biggest names in the Comic Book world.
A hatful of Marvel’s biggest stars, including Spider-Man, Thor and Ant-Man joined Novak Djokovic, Caroline Wozniacki and Co on the court for the day’s festivities.
The action-packed day saw a huge turnout – with the crowd treated to exhibition matches, mini-games and even some dancing.
The day served a light relief for the likes of Federer – who has seen the pressure on himself ramp-up after a spate of injuries to the likes of Andy Murray.
Tennis’ own super-hero looked fresh after leading Switzerland to their third Hopman Cup win – at the expense of Germany earlier this month.

THEY’VE played with the world’s best in Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Co… but who would win if Thor and Spider-Man went head-to-head on the court?
You’d imagine Thor would have a God-like serve and a hammer of a forehand to go with his lightning reflexes.
But he may not be the most mobile, carrying all those muscles… while he may lack touch around the net and with his drop-shots.
Then there’s Spider-Man, whose agility, reach and speed would be a major advantage on the tennis court.
His exceptional strength and balance would also help, particularly in chasing down – and returning – Thor’s thunderous ground-strokes.
The Marvel star could also use his “spider-sense” to judge where Thor would rifle his next shot.
However, Spider-Man would certainly not be dominating the rallies, hoping only to stay in the point and wait for Thor to make a mistake.
It would be the ultimate clash of raw power vs elegance… but who would come out on top?
Federer will take on former Briton Aljaz Bedene in the first-round of the Australian Open, as he aims to win his sixth title Down Under, having won last year.
While Fed is a crowd-favourite wherever he goes, the Swiss star recently had his say on Aussie home-fave – and notorious hot-head – Nick Kyrgios.

On Kyrgios, Federer said: “He’s going through his things, whatever he needs to go through.
“But when he’s on, he’s on and he’s really difficult to beat.

“It seems like he’s doing the right things otherwise he wouldn’t be winning tournaments.
“…Especially not in Brisbane because being able to cope with the pressure at home is not a simple thing.”
The Australian Open kicks-off on Monday – with the two-week tournament set to conclude on Sunday January 28.
