And one renowned sports commentator has taken it to a new level by unveiling what he claimed to be Barcelona's official new kit - half Barca, half referee.
TV commentator Eduardo Inda produced his new design for the famous red and blue striped shirt on a football show called El Chiringuito de Jugones, broadcast on Spanish TV channel Mega.
He caused controversy among his fellow participants on the programme when he claimed to have the official new design for the Spanish team's shirt.
After searching in a plastic bag, the reporter showed the new design of the shirt, that is half the traditional colours of Barcelona and half with the yellow colour usually worn by referees.
