Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes warns Real Madrid over Robert Lewandowski as his side prepare for Sevilla

JUPP HEYNCKES has ruled out Robert Lewandowski signing for Real Madrid.

The Polish hitman, 29, is linked with a summer move to Los Blancos, despite the Bundesliga giants repeatedly denying that he is for sale.

And as Heynckes prepares his side for a Spanish test against Sevilla in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday, the Bayern boss has again told Real not to waste their time on Lewandowski.

Bayern are claimed to be keen to take up their £31million option to make James Rodriguez’s loan permanent.

And Real may see that as their moment to push for Lewandowski’s signature.

But Heynckes said: “[Chairman] Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already said it: with Robert, Real Madrid have no chance at all.

“Of course, I knew James before he came to Bayern.

“When I took over the team in the autumn, he wasn’t physically fit. He is stronger physically now, he’s a completely different player.

“He has integrated into the group and he feels very good. He’ll definitely play at Bayern in the coming season but Bayern must decide what happens beyond that.”

Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, both 34, are two more forwards whose futures are up in the air with both out of contract at the end of the season.

A coy Heynckes added: “I have my opinion on Ribery and Robben. But I will hold back here with my recommendations.

“The club will know what they are and will decide in due course.”

Bayern have included Arturo Vidal and Juan Bernat in their squad for the first leg at Sevilla after the pair passed late fitness tests.

Midfielder Vidal and full-back Bernat both missed Saturday’s 6-0 demolition of Borussia Dortmund with minor injuries as the Bavarians moved to within one win of a sixth straight league title with six fixtures still remaining.
