Replays showed Mearns’ left arm horrifically bend out of place as he hit the deck.

Medics rushed into the cage and the crowd gasped as one after the referee ended the fight.

But hardman Mearns incredibly fought back the pain and was able to sit up on his own.

He even managed to stand unaided – supporting his injured elbow with his right right – while the ref announced Ekundayo as the winner.

Mearns, whose record is now 5-2, was given a hero’s applause as he left the cage at Wembley.

The featherweight fighter entered the bout on the back of a unanimous points decision defeat to Aiden Lee at Cage Warriors 92 in March.

Ekundayo now boasts a record of 6-0.
