Benjamin Mendy injury: Manchester City ace reveals state-of-the-art rehab therapy used to help him recover from ruptured knee ligaments

BENJAMIN MENDY is getting the best treatment Manchester City’s millions can buy as he recovers from ruptured knee ligaments.

The £49.3million left-back suffered the blow facing Crystal Palace last month in just his fifth game for the club.

And Mendy has posted a video on social media showing the treatment that he is getting in Barcelona.

The France international had his season ended after it had only just begun after colliding with Andros Townsend.

He has since shown off his battle wounds on social media from Hospital Quironsalud in the Catalan city.

Mendy shared an image on Instagram with the caption: "How happy I am to be able to scratch my scar."

The 23-year-old has tried not to let the injury get him down and has been spotted hobbling around on crutches in Barcelona.

Before City knew the full extent of the injury, Pep Guardiola said: "It is very frustrating for him first as a person.

"Like with Ilkay Gundogan last year, I feel sorry for him.

"We would miss him a lot, it would be a major setback."

Asked if City may buy a replacement, Guardiola added: “We will see. We thought about next summer about looking for another left-back.

“We have Danilo, Fabian Delph and Oleksandr Zinchenko who can play there so we will see as we go along.”
