A HIGH-RANKING member of the Boca Juniors ultras was assassinated in his home, according to local reports in Argentina.
Gustavo Pereyra, who had been second-in-command in Boca’s Barras Brava, was shot at eight times in Claypole, a suburb of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

According to Sport, citing local reports, Pereyra, nicknamed “The Bear”, had been at home with his mother when the gunman arrived.
The 49-year-old, who had been barred from attending Boca’s famous Bombonera stadium, was No2 to current leader Rafael Di Zeo.
His mother told police she opened the door to a man, before leaving them alone and leaving the house.
The unnamed woman then heard an argument and several gunshots.

The gunman is then said to have fled.
Pereyra was alive when the ambulance arrived, but was transferred to a nearby hospital and later died of his wounds.

Police officers found eight bullet casings at the scene, although it is not clear how many times Pereyra was shot.
The Bear was previously a bodyguard for former world super-featherweight champion Jorge Rodrigo Barrios.
He had most recently been working for a private security company.
Pereyra had also been imprisoned for football violence and hooliganism.
