Braun Strowman sends Brock Lesnar a message with Enzo Amore battering and Roman Reigns floors John Cena on the mic

THE Raw superstars are just days away from No Mercy, where Brock Lesnar defends the Universal Championship against Braun Strowman and John Cena battles Roman Reigns.

Here are five things we learnt from the go-home edition of Raw last night.

Bayley is back

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss was already set to face Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, and Emma this Sunday – but now Bayley has been added to make it a Fatal Five-Way.

The huggable superstar returned last night after Nia Jax had defeated Bliss in singles competition.

Sasha came out during the match and got involved afterwards, attacking Jax from behind.

But Jax overpowered Sasha – prompting Bayley to make a surprise return.

Bayley, Sasha, and Alexa teamed up to take down the monstrous Jax – before Bayley and Sasha turned on the Alexa.

If all that’s sounds unnecessarily confusing, it’s because the Raw women’s division is a mess.

And nothing says it more than WWE booking yet another random Fatal Five-Way.

Brock Lesnar thanks Braun Strowman for dominating him

After last week’s dramatic brawl – which saw Braun no-sell one of Brock’s suplexes and put the Beast down with a choke slam – the pair scaled it back with a split-screen interview.

It wasn’t as exciting as the similar interview Brock had with Samoa Joe (that one ended with Joe storming into Brock’s room to attack him) but it still had a killer line.

After several minutes of Heyman’s usual spiel, Brock leant towards the camera and thanked Strowman.

He said: “I want to thank for you for backing me into this corner and challenging me.

“It’s when I’m at my best… suplex city, bitch.”

John Cena was nowhere to be seen

The war of words between Cena and Roman Reigns has brought out the best in Reigns on the mic.

But last night he let Cena do the talking.

Reigns played a clip from Raw in 2012, in the build to Cena’s match against The Rock at WrestleMania 28.

In the clip, Cena criticised The Rock for going to Hollywood and abandoning WWE – while Cena was there week-in, week-out.

But Cena – who in 2017 is trying (and some would say failing) to forge a Hollywood career of his own – wasn’t there last night.

Reigns pointed out to fans: “So everything he said was just a lie… and that’s why the result at No Mercy’s gonna to be the same as it was at that WrestleMania.

“Only this time he’s gonna be beat by a different Samoan… and John, I’ll see you Sunday, movie star.”

Braun destroyed Enzo Amore

Enzo came out to deliver his usual shtick – but it wasn’t long before Braun Strowman appeared and demolished the long-suffering loudmouth.

If you ever needed proof of what Vince McMahon really thinks of the cruiserweights, this

was it.

His new favourite monster walloping seven shades out of the man set to challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship this Sunday.

The champ Neville came out to hit Enzo with a Red Arrow after Braun had left. The King of the Cruiserweights should enjoy it while he can – it can’t be long before Vince takes a leaf from Braun’s book and destroys the entire division.

Jason Jordan will face Miz for the Intercontinental title

Kurt Angle set a Six-Pack Challenge (yes, another multi-man match) to determine a

challenger for Miz’s IC belt at No Mercy.

Angle’s long-lost son Jordan faced Elias Samson, Matt and Jeff Hardy and Miz’s cronies,

Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas.

It was fun to see the Hardys briefly wrestle each other (they’re bound to split again soon)

but Jordan got the win with an elevated neck breaker on Axel.

The Miz beat down Jordan post-match but the real news is that WWE’s booking the past

few weeks seems to have worked.

After stunning performances against Cena and Reigns, Jordan’s clicked with the fans – but

can he win his first singles gold this Sunday?
