Brit uni student dies on dream holiday to Rio Olympics slipping off ninth floor balcony after watching Nigeria Denmark football match
A BRITISH university student has died after she slipped and fell after watching a football match at the Rio Olympics.
The woman, who was known as Zoe Robinson, was watching a match between Nigeria and Denmark and fell from the ninth floor balcony of a hotel in Brazil.
The 21-year-old, from Bradford on Avon, was on a dream holiday, and after travelling to the games with two friends, had returned to the Bahia do Sol Hotel in Salvador where they were staying.
The incident happened at 5am on Sunday, when she is thought to have gone out on the balcony and fallen to her death.

Ms Robinson, had been studying on an Erasmus Scholarship in Germany,
It is believed Ms Robinson was volunteering in Juazeiro, a city about 500km from Salvador, and was a student at Aston University in Birmingham.
The Foreign Office said: “We are providing support to the family of a British national who has sadly died in Bahia State, Brazil. We are in contact with the local authorities.”
