CASTER SEMENYA cemented herself as one of the greatest female runners of her generation after storming to the 800m gold medal in the Commonwealth Games.
The 27-year-old set a record time of 1:56.68 as she pipped Kenya’s Margaret Wambui and Jamaica’s Natoya Goule to win her second event in Australia.


Semenya – representing South Africa – claimed the 1500m gold yesterday with a record time of 4:00.71 as she she adds to her array of winning medals.
