Chelsea boss Antonio Conte reads English football phrasebook as he lies on Italian beach in blue budgie smugglers
ANTONIO CONTE used the international break to brush up on his English football lingo as he put Chelsea’s transfer woes behind him on a golden Italian beach.
The Blues chief could be seen kissing his wife Elisabetta and brushing up on his language skills with a handy soccer phrasebook.
With no Premier League football this weekend, the Italian swapped Stamford Bridge for the sandy shores of a beach in back in his homeland.
Despite winning the title in his debut season, the 48-year-old evidently believes there is room for improvement when it comes to his English vocab.
Conte – who is sporting a golden glow whilst slumped on a sunbed – is reading a book called Football English: Soccer Vocabulary for Learners of English by Tom Challenger.
This is a book intended for football players, officials, managers and administrators who are looking to break the language barrier with their sporting colleagues.
It covers all areas, including positions, describing a game, attacking, defending, scoring goals, shooting, timing, heading and goalkeeping.
The Chelsea boss cosied up with his wife on a sun lounger and the couple shared a kiss after paddling in the sea.

The Chelsea boss missed out on a number of top transfer targets and a result he has been left frustrated, as a number of rivals bolstered their ranks significantly this summer.
Conte only introduced two first-team players, and earlier this week suffered the embarrassment of two top targets pulling out of proposed moves.
He secured the signatures of two young talents – Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko. But he lost two integral players to their league winning campaign in 2016/17 – Nemanja Matic and Diego Costa.
Following the turbulent transfer window, the boss obviously thinks he needs to top up his English. And his tan.
