The 18-year-old scored his fifth goal in six matches in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa and assisted his side’s second goal earning the Man of the Match award in the process.

Seeing Abraham celebrating is becoming a regular feature amongst City supporters.

He scored just 15 minutes into his debut against Wigan less than 48 hours after Abraham was training with the Chelsea side in their pre-season tour of America and followed it up with a goals against Wycombe and a brace against Burton.

But scoring goals has always come as a natural instinct for Abraham.

The powerful striker has scored 74 goals in 98 youth games for Chelsea at different levels and is highly thought off amongst the coaching staff at the Blues.

After scoring eight goals in nine matches in the 2016 UEFA Youth League, former Blues boss Guus Hiddink invited Abraham to train amongst the senior squad before handing him his senior debut in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool towards the end of last season.

Although it is too soon to be thinking of playing for England, coaches certainly believe he can force his way into the national side if he keeps progressing at the rate he has been.

The striker whose man attributes include his pace and the unique ability to be in the right place at the right time, has represented the Three Lions at both under-18 and U19 level scoring seven goals in 20 appearances.

In a game against Japan, Abraham and Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts decided who would take a penalty by playing Rock, Paper & Scissors which Abraham won, and then missed the resulting kick.

But even at a young age he showed he has the mental strength to put it to the back of his mind by scoring just a minute later.

First team football is certainly helping the exciting striker and if Abraham can continue to improve, Chelsea and England have a real talent on their hands.
