Chelsea man Eden Hazard has named three stars he thinks will take over Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as potential Ballon d’Or winners
CHELSEA star Eden Hazard has named the three footballers he believes will dominate the game after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi retire.
The Belgian maestro has insisted these players are the likely trio to be regular candidates for the prestigious Ballon d’Or, with Ronaldo and Messi winning nine trophies between them.
Real Madrid’s main is the current winner, picking up his fourth title – his third in the last four years, while Barcelona’s main man has won five, triumphing four seasons in a row between 2009-2012.
Ronaldo, 32, looks destined to add another award to his impressive tally as his side look set to clinch the La Liga title, and could become a four-time Champions League winner when Los Blancos play Juventus in the final on June 3.
Hazard, who has helped Chelsea close on a fifth Premier League crown, has had an influential season in front of goal, banging in 16 goals in all competitions.
The 26-year-old told Sky Sports: “I hope to win the Ballon d’Or one day.
