Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas rejects Chinese Super League transfer to fight for place at Stamford Bridge


CESC FABREGAS will reject a mega-money move to China and fight for his place at Chelsea, according to reports.

The Metro are reporting that the Spain international also has interest from AC Milan but believes he can work his way back into Antonio Conte’s first-team squad.

Fabregas, 29, suffered a dip in form last season and has since been overlooked for N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic.

But the former Barcelona star believes he will get another chance to prove himself after Eden Hazard and Diego Costa were given the same opportunity.

Fabregas has started just one Premier League game this season and that has had a number of clubs circling.

Italian giants AC Milan were after the ex-Arsenal player in the summer but were turned down by the player.

Fabregas – who has two years left on his contact and on nearly £200,000-a-week – is not willing to rush a decision.

Chinese clubs also looked at bringing Fabregas to the growing league but he is likely to stay until the end of the season.

West Ham are the latest club to be linked with a move but want Fabregas on a loan deal in January.

The Hammers see Fabregas as a perfect replacement for Dimitri Payet if he leaves the club in a big-money move.

Fabgregas has won two European Championships and the World Cup as well as the Premier League with Chelsea and La Liga at Barcelona.
